Khao Poon Nam Pah (Lao Coconut Curry Noodle Soup)
A local Lao favorite w/ a twist!
Some would say this is the national soup of Laos, and tonight you get to enjoy it as well. Chef Mem's recipe has been said to rival the best Khao Poon in DC. You'll just have to order it and see for yourself. If you're a fan of ramen or pho, this is a must eat! =) This time around, Chef Mem is changing it up by using turkey instead of pork.
Ingredients: Fish & turkey, red curry, coconut milk. Vermicelli rice noodles, mint leaves, shredded cabbage, carrots, banana flower, bean sprouts, long green bean, and sweet mint.
Allergy: Fish, Turkey
Homemade Beef Pho (Lao Style Noodle Soup)
While the main ingredients are reminiscent of a traditional Vietnamese pho, Chef Mem takes extra time in slow cooking grilled onions, garlic and beef to produce the light yet deep & complex flavors of her broth. Paired with rice noodles, veggies and sauces on the side, this dish comes together to create a perfect balance of fresh and savory flavors.
